First world woes and worries
Dear diary,
I know I only come to you when I have to rant but today was truly the worst day of my life. The entire day just started on a bad note. I woke up to find that I didn't plug in my charger properly last night and so my phone wasn't charged. So, I had to resort to using my power bank to charge my phone instead, since I had to leave the house.
Apart from that, you see, I've been on this diet for the past week and I require a protein shake with my egg and milk breakfast but my maid had forgotten the protein shake today. This had to be today. I was supposed to be meeting up with a bunch of friends later and I wanted to look my best.
Anyways, I wouldn't have gotten so worked up about it if it had been any other day. But, today was the day I was supposed to go all the way from Dhanmondi 6 to Dhanmondi 27 without a car. My parents had to take the car with them, unfortunately. I don't even know the roads properly since I have always travelled by a car. I had all these concerns in my mind and that wasn't even the end of it.
After I passed all these hurdles and met up with my friends finally, we went to this restaurant. Before we started eating I noticed that I had run out of hand sanitiser. All my friends had their ones with them and I had to walk up and go all the way to the washroom to wash my hands and when I returned I found that everyone had started eating. By that time, I had completely lost my appetite.
I returned home shortly afterwards to find that the power had gone out and our generator does not support the air conditioner. So, here I am sitting down on my bed and writing to you in this heat. I'm just waiting for this horrible day to end at this point.
Tasnim Odrika is having an existential crisis at the moment and doesn't really know who she is anymore. Send her compliments at odrika_02@yahoo.com.
