Warner finds it funny how Ind-Aus games are advertised

Australia’s David Warner says that he found it funny how the Ind-Aus rivalry is portrayed in the media.

The cricketer feels that terms like ‘bully to bully’ and sledgehammer has been used to describe the antagonism between the two sides and that it should not be the case.

"It's quite funny how the series (between India and Australia) are commercialised. Every time I come to this country, you watch the commercials and it's like 'bully-to-bully' and 'sledgehammer'. We are two very competitive countries," Warner said in an interview India Today.

"Don't think it should be portrayed like that. The rivalry started in Australia. We are both so competitive and we want to beat each other.

"That level of competitiveness is great for the game. People like seeing that rivalry and we absolutely thrive on playing each other," the opener remarked.

In the second ODI match of the five-match series, wicket-keeper Matthew Wade sledged Virat kohli on his poor sportsmanship.

Kohli and Kedar Jadhav ran a single while Wade was wincing in pain after the ball hit his hand.

"That passion and aggression is on field it will be there. It's a lot like we have with England in the Ashes," Warner concluded.
