SUPER PERFORMER OF THE DAY
MAHMUDULLAH RIYAD
When Mahmudullah Riyad came to the crease, Bangladesh were in a wobbly situation. They had just lost Mominul Haque and were looking nervous at 55 for 2. Riyad looked a bit nervy as well as he played a few streaky drives initially. After that however, he gritted it out to share an 89-run stand with Tamim Iqbal and revive the hosts. His tactic was simple. He merely waited for the deliveries to arrive in his zone and then he either drove the ball with precision or just nudged it around for a single. He eased his way to 67. One felt that he could have scored a lot more, considering his fine touch. Regardless of that fact, yesterday's performance against the best bowling attack in the world, proved Riyad's ability.
