Real Madrid want Salah?
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane suggested that there would not be any signings in mid season but reports from Italy suggests that Madrid are looking to sign Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool have already let one of their star names leave the Anfield as Philippe Coutinho left for FC Barcalona for 160 million euros.
Sky Sports Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has said that Real Madrid are looking to sign the new African player of the year to compensate for Barcelona’s signing of Coutinho.
According to Spanish newspaper SPORT, Zidane was very stern on Tuesday when he said he had no interest in signing players in January, starting with Athletic Club goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was basically signed but now will not arrive until the summer.
Salah has been in excellent form this season and has scored 23 goals this season in 29 appearances.
Speculations regarding Salah’s move away from Liverpool will give the Reds definite cause for concern as they are already shy of a playmaker like Coutinho. Salah moved to Liverpool last season from Roma for 42 million euros.
