Zimbabwe ride on Raza fifty to 135
Sikandar Raza struck consecutive fifties in the series to steer Zimbabwe to a fighting total after Mosaddek Hossain spun the home side in deep trouble at the start of the second T20I of the three-match series in Harare today.
From reeling at 31 for five, Zimbabwe went on to post 135 for eight in 20 overs, while riding on a 53-ball 62 from Raza. Raza struck two sixes and four boundaries and combined to a 65-ball 80-run stand with Ryan Burl, who scored a 31-ball 32.
Mosaddek grabbed a five-wicket haul while Mustafizur Rahman and Hasan Mahmud scalped a wicket apiece. And Sheikh Mahedi, who came in to the side for Nasum Ahmed, bowled economically as well, conceding only 10 runs off his three overs.
With figures of five for 20 runs in four overs, Mosaddek achieved his career-best figures and the second-best in history for Bangladesh in T20Is.
