He said he will work independently and their ultimate goal is to establish the people's right to vote.
"I am confident enough. I hope I will get all kinds of support from everyone," he said.
"I am not interested in knowing who nominated me, I will work independently. If I find out which party supported me and which didn't, it might create a bias, even subconsciously. Therefore, I am not inclined to know."
He said that activities of the past commissions are lessons for them.
"We must learn from their mistakes and actions that were unpopular among the public. We aim to avoid those errors so that no allegations are raised against us. Our ultimate goal is to establish the people's right to vote," he said.
He said all political parties desire a free and fair election. There is no significant dispute in this regard. However, there is some controversy surrounding one particular party.
"I don't wish to comment on this at the moment. When election time comes, we will see, and you will see. We aim to include everyone in the electoral process, but for now, I refrain from making any remarks on this matter," he added.
Nasir said after meeting the other commissioners, he will sit with the electoral reform commission.
"After these discussions, I will identify the priorities—what should be done first and how quickly," he added.
