After starting the World Cup with a 21-run victory over South Africa, Bangladesh will be looking to make it two in two when they face New Zealand at the Kennington Oval in London today. The two sides have played each other quite a few times in the past and ahead of today's enthralling encounter, here we look at some of the interesting facts about both the sides:
World's number one ODI allrounder Shakib Al Hasan will be featuring in his 200th ODI for the Tigers when he will take the field against New Zealand today. Only two other players -- skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Mushfiqur Rahim -- have played 200 or more games for Bangladesh.
Shakib Al Hasan will be playing his 22nd ODI against New Zealand today and the ace allrounder will be looking to improve his already impressive figures against the Kiwis. Shakib is the highest run getter and also the highest wicket taker against New Zealand. Shakib scalped 35 wickets and amassed 575 runs in the 21 ODIs he played against Kane Williamson's side.

Mahmudullah Riyad and Shakib Al Hasan's 224-run fifth-wicket stand that had sealed a famous five-wicket victory against New Zealand during a group stage game in the ICC Champions Trophy back in 2017, remains the highest partnership for any wicket among the players of the two sides.
