A Festival of Literati

It was a festival like no other. A convergence of writers, poets, scholars and artistes, celebrating a craft that surges through the creative imagination or bursts out the most forbidden truth. The famous Hay Festival, for the very first time, was held in Dhaka at the British Council premises. While the lawn filled up with literati from home and abroad to listen to recitals, watch dances or just mingle, the auditorium held vibrant discussions on every aspect of literature imaginable with awe-inspiring readings from some of the most well known writers and poets.

The Hay Festival, Dhaka was produced by Hay Festival with British Council as a global partner and Jatrik as project partner with main sponsor, The Daily Star.
