We have failed to provide the workers with even the basic rights of a national minimum wage, safe working conditions, job security or appropriate benefits and health facilities. Workers in labour intensive sectors, like the garments industry, are some of the lowest wage earners in the world, living and working in deplorable conditions in the face of unapologetic exploitation.
