It's a Jungle Out There!

The battle for admissions to primary schools has begun. Thousands of small children face nerve-racking interviews to contest for some hundred seats. Parents throng the front gates of the school, tense mothers cannot help but take a peak through the closed gates. One mother manages to jostle her way to the school gate to pick up her child as her name was announced in the mike at the end of the admission interview. Victory at last!

But one can only wonder– if this is the kind of battle they must fight at such an early stage, what awaits them in their later school years.
