Competitions held in Chapainawabganj

A painting competition for children was held on Friday, to mark the 40th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Green View High School in Chapainawabganj town. Chapainawabganj district administration and Bangladesh Shishu Academy jointly organised the event for school children.

About 65 children from different educational institutes in town took part in three groups at the competition, from which judges selected nine children for awards.

Later, extempore speech, essay writing and storytelling competitions were also held at the same venue.

On the occasion of Bangabandhu's death anniversary, the local administration and Shishu Academy have arranged two-day programmes, including rally, cultural function and discussion.

Mohammad Jahangir Kobir, deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj will attend as chief guest at the prize giving ceremony and discussion at Shaheed Satu hall in town today.
