Gallery Twenty One to honour Artist Kanak Chanpa Today

Renowned visual artist Kanak Chanpa Chakma has won Bangladesh National Film Award 2014 for best costume design and make-up for the film “Jonakir Alo", directed by her husband late Khalid Mahmood Mithu.

To celebrate the occasion and to honour Kanak Chanpa, Gallery Twenty One has arranged a reception at its premises in Dhanmondi today at 6 pm. Eminent artist and cultural personality Mustafa Manwar will be present as chief guest.

Kanak Chanpa Chakma is a Bangladeshi Chakma artist who has won national and international awards, and is renowned for her paintings depicting the lives of Bangladeshi ethnic minorities, focusing on the lives of women while combining semi realistic and abstract in the same  canvas.
