Magic Bauliana 2022 kicks off

The fourth edition of the musical reality show Magic Bauliana 2022 is set to air soon on Maasranga Television. The registration process for this show has already begun.

A press conference, announcing this news, was organised at a hotel in the Capital at 11 am today. The Chairman of Sun Foundation and the Managing Director of Square Toiletries Limited and Maasranga Television, Anjan Chowdhury, and the Head of Operations of Square Toiletries Limited Malik Mohammad Sayeed were present at the press meet. Jury members Baul Shafi Mondal, Shahnaz Beli and Arif Dewan, were also in attendance, among others. 

Initiated jointly by Sun Foundation and Square Toiletries Limited's oral care brand Magic, Magic Bauliana aims at introducing the young generation to the folk musical genres, especially the baul culture.

This time, participants residing overseas can also participate in this competition. Anyone who dearly loves to sing baul songs is welcome to register. The registrations are open till May 26.

The audition round will be held in 7 regions of Bangladesh, namely Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Kushtia and Mymensingh.

Selected contestants from the first round will appear in front of the jury on television. At the end of the show, 3 singers will be selected as winners.

Zinat Sanu Swagata and Khayam Sanu Sandhi will be hosting the event.
