Shykh Seraj receives Gold Creator Award from YouTube

Shykh Seraj, noted development journalist, Director and Head of news of Channel i, was awarded the Gold Creator Award from YouTube for his channel, Shykh Seraj (youtube.com/shykhseraj), recently.

Usually, the Gold Creator Award is given to the YouTube channels that surpass 1 million subscribers. Shykh Seraj’s channel received the award on the same ground, as his channel has garnered more than 1.04 million subscribers. The channel, which commenced its journey in 2011, gained immense popularity through different videos, particularly on farming. Shykh Seraj expressed his gratitude to all his subscribers on receiving the award.

Hridoye Mati O Manush is a very popular show on Channel i. The YouTube channel of Shykh Seraj has taken the show to the masses at home and abroad. Other noted programmes such as Hridoye Mati O Manush,Chhad Krishi, Krishoker Eid Ananda, Krishi Budget Krishoker Budget, as well as news reports on farming and features on rural Bangladesh, are also available on the channel.

Shykh Seraj anchored the popular agro-documentary, Mati O Manush, on Bangladesh Television from 1982 to 1996. He started Hridoye Mati O Manush on Channel i on February 21 in 2004.

Shykh Seraj was awarded the Swadhinata Padak, the highest civilian award, and Ekushey Padak, the second- highest civilian award, by the government of Bangladesh.
