Gifted with a powerful voice, noted singer Konal has an ardent fan following. She is also an occasional TV anchor. She loves to travel and if she can squeeze in the time, leaves home to travel to exotic places. In a recent conversation with The Daily Star, the star spoke about her passion for travelling.

“I am attracted to the mountains and try to go up to them whenever I can. Even as  a child, I was completely transported when I neared the mountains.

Bandarban's Nilgiri is my favourite vacation destination. There, clouds play at the top of the mountain. From there, you can at least try to touch the clouds. It's awe- inspiring. I distinctly remember my first trip to Nilgiri when I was stunned by its early morning scenic beauty.”

“At the age of 12, I went to Manchester with my grandparents and climbed a hill for the first time, where I heard my grandfather recite Shakespeare's poetry.”

“Apart from this, the hills in Sylhet attract me. Lalon's shrine in Kushtia and Kachharibari of Rabindranath Tagore are also my favourite tourist spots.”

“Besides hills, I also love to see the beauty of the rivers. Dhaleshwari River flows beside my village home. I tried to learn swimming from my father while taking a dip in the river those days.”

“I really enjoy travelling and when I get the chance, I rush to see interesting places. On top of it, my country is really beautiful. So, it's always fulfilling to travel within the country.”
