  • A fierce clash erupts between freedom fighters and Pakistan soldiers at Phulbari in Dinajpur. Freedom fighters kill 35 Pakistan soldiers and wound 17 others.
  • Nine freedom fighters – Hasan, Alaul, Islam Khokon, Abul Kashem, Rawsan Alam, Rariq, Rabiul, Abjaluddin and Keyamaddin—sacrifice their lives in fights with Pakistan troops in Kushtia when the freedom fighters attack Nantudaha company of Pakistan raiders.
  • Pakistan government publishes whitepaper on the Bangladesh crisis. It is said that the military force is directed to recover properties damaged during 25-day non-cooperation movement of Awami League. It also said East Bengal Regiment, East Pakistan Rifle and Awami League rebels have been killing Pakistanis. With the military help of India, Awami League planned to revolt on March 26. But Pakistani soldiers foiled the separatists’ plan through their steps hours before the revolt.
