Bangladesh posts 6.94% GDP growth in FY21

Bangladesh's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 6.94 per cent in the fiscal year 2021.

Meanwhile, the per capita income increased to $2,591 in the last fiscal year.

Planning Minister MA Mannan disclosed the information before media after a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) today.

Today, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) placed the final report on GDP growth at the Ecnec meeting.

According to the BBS report, the size of the GDP stood at $416 billion in FY21.
