2 held with 600 gram of gold at Dhaka airport

Members of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) detained two persons with 600 grams of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka this morning.

The price of the seized gold was estimated at Tk 30 lakhs, said Assistant Superintendent of Police of the APBn Tanjina Akhter.

The detainees were identified as Md Billal, 70, and his son Md Shah Alom, 26, residents of Keraniganj in Dhaka, she said.

They were detained from outside the canopy-2 around 8:15am with six gold bars weighing 100 grams each.
