The four NCTB staff are: Professor Md Abdul Mannan, Associate Professors Gaurango Lal Sarker, Mosleh Uddin Sarker and Md Hannan Mia.

According to the gazette, Mannan, a member of NCTB (primary) and and Gaurango, editor of the organisation, were transferred to Jhenidah Government KC College and Noakhali’s Hatiya Dwip Government College respectively.

Mosleh Uddin was transferred to Patuakhali Government Women College while Hannan Mia was transferred to Thakurgaon Pirganj Government College, the gazette notice said.

The NCTB employees were transferred after an investigation committee formed by the government found them responsible for the textbook mistakes.

Earlier, two other NCTB officers were made officials on special duty (OSD) on preliminary investigation following a widespread criticism over some blunders in school textbooks.

They are Chief Editor Pritish Kumar Sarkar and Senior Expert Lana Humayra Khan.

The NCTB in January suspended its artist-cum-designer over the same allegation.
