Eid advance train tickets from June 22

Bangladesh Railway authorities will begin selling advance train tickets from June 22 to ensure hassle-free journey for Eid-ul-Fitr holidaymakers.

The sale will continue till June 26 at Dhaka’s Kamalapur and Chittagong railway stations, Railways Minister Mazibul Hoque told journalist at a press briefing at his ministry conference room in Dhaka.

Commuters will be able to collect tickets from 8:00am, the minister said.

Train tickets of July 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be distributed on June 23, 24, 25 and 26 respectively, the minister said.

Return tickets will be distributed on July 4, 5, 7 and 8 for July 8, 9, 10 and 11, and 12 respectively.

Seven pairs of special trains will be added to the existing ones in order to facilitate the holidaymakers ahead of the Eid, said minister said.
