Law enforcers briefed on GCC polls

Law enforcers have been briefed on the general guidelines for holding free and fair election in Gazipur city tomorrow.

Superintendent of Gazipur Police Harun-ur-Rashid briefed more than 13000 law enforcers from Bangladesh Police, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Bangladesh Ansar & VDP, who were deployed in the city yesterday.

Harun told the law enforcers to be alert to avert any untoward situation. To always be on high alert to tackle and solve any kind of unpleasant occurrences.

He also told the police and law enforcing agencies to inform their high-ups in the event of any such occurrences.

Harun told the reporters that law and order situation is quite good and from today they have guided the law enforces to avert any kind of unwanted incidents.

The briefing took place in the city's Shaheed Barkat Stadium in the morning for the law enforcers.

Meanwhile, around 100 public vehicles were requisitioned for their polls duty. The vehicles were kept at Rani Bilashmoni High School in Gazipur.
