Advocate Shafique Mahmud appeared for Sohel and Deputy Attorney General Amit Talukder represented the state.

Following a newspaper report, the HC on November 21 last year issued the rule asking the authorities concerned of the government explain why they should not be directed to cancel the directive that allowed children’s expulsion from PSC and Ebtedayee terminal examinations.

In the rule the court also asked them to show cause why the expulsion of children from the PSC and Ebtedayee terminal examinations should not be declared illegal.

On December 18 last year the HC ordered the authorities concerned to take re-examination by December 28 of the children who were expelled from the last PSC and its equivalent Ebtedayee terminal examinations and to publish their examinations result by December 31.
