Man held with 1,170 yaba pills inside stomach at Dhaka airport

Law enforcers today detained one person with 1,170 yaba pills hidden inside his stomach at the domestic terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The detainee, Reazul Mia, 29, is an employee of a hotel in Cox’s Bazar. He used to travel on Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka domestic route by air and also smuggled yaba pills in this way, said Alamgir Hossain, additional superintendent of Airport Armed Police Battalion (AAPBn).

AAPBn officials detained Reazul last night from the premises of the domestic terminal of the airport.

Later, X-ray was conducted on him and revealed presence of packets inside his stomach. A total of 1,170 yaba pills were recovered from his stomach after 12-hour long effort from last night till this morning, the police official said.
