SI killed as bus rams motorcycle at Khilkhet

A sub-inspector of Gulshan Police Station was killed as a bus rammed his motorcycle in the city’s Khilkhet area last night.

Deceased Saiful Islam was returning to his Uttara residence after his duty when a bus of Azmeri Paribahan hit his motorcycle near Le Meridien Hotel around 11:30pm, said Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of the police station.

The police official died on the spot, the OC added.

Saiful’s body will be taken to his village home in Bera upazila of Pabna, OC Sirajul said.
