Some militants, who were involved in the Holey Artisan cafe attack in Dhaka last year, are yet to be arrested, Monirul Islam, chief of the DMP's Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, said today.

Monirul said while talking to reporters at the media centre of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) this afternoon. He, however, did not come up with details on arrestees in the case filed for the attack.

“Investigation into the case is all most at the final stage and I hope that we will be able to submit the charge sheet by this year,” he said.

Gunmen stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery in the capital's Gulshan diplomatic zone on July 1, 2016, and killed 20 hostages, mostly foreign nationals.

Two police officials were also killed during the 12-hour hostage standoff.
