3 killed in Bogra road crash

Three people were killed and five others injured in a road crash that took place during the Eid rush of home-bound people on Bogra-Dhaka highway in Bogra’s Sherpur upazila.

The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.

Our local correspondent quotes Sherpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Khan Mohammad Erfan to report that it was a head-on collision between a Dhaka-bound bus and a Bogra-bound truck.

Later, another person died after being rushed to hospital.

The bodies of the dead and those injured were rushed to Bogra’s Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital, last reported.
