4 promoted to senior secretary

The government has promoted four secretaries to the rank of senior secretary.

They are Internal Resources Division Secretary and NBR chief Md Nabijur Rahman, Parliament Secretariat Secretary Md Abdur Rob Howlader, Industry Secretary Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and Water Resources Secretary Zafar Ahmed Khan, according to a circular of the public administration ministry released yesterday.

The release says that newly elevated senior secretaries will continue holding their present offices.

With this, the number of senior secretary rose to 10.

The government created the senior secretary post in 2012 with more salary and benefits.
