80,000 Hajj visas issued so far

The Saudi government has issued 80 thousand Hajj visas until now, the according to the country’s envoy here.
The newly appointed Saudi Ambassador Abdullah HM Almutairi informed this when he called on Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali at his office today, said a ministry press release.
A total of 1, 01,758 pilgrims from Bangladesh are expected to perform the Hajj this year. The number was 98,762 last year.
They also discussed about the exchange of high level visits between the two countries.

Ambassador Almutairi has given assurances to the foreign minister that he will be working for further strengthening the existing bilateral relations and expanding other cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, it said.
The Bangladesh foreign minister welcomed the Ambassador to Bangladesh, and assured him all-out cooperation in the discharge of his duties as Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh.
Almutairi arrived Dhaka on July 26, 2015 as Ambassador–Designate of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh and presented credentials on August 19, 2015. Prior to his present assignment as Saudi ambassador to Bangladesh, he was director of follow-up section in the foreign ministry of KSA, the press release adds.
