Hajj registration deadline extended to April 1

The government has extended the deadline by 10 days for the registration of Hajj pilgrims under private managements.

The registration which begun on March 1 will now end on April 1, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs today.

This year's Hajj flights will begin on July 14. A total of 1,27,198 pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj from Bangladesh.

Of them, 7,198 are expected to perform Hajj under government management while 1,20,000 are expected to perform Hajj under private management.

The Hajj is likely to be held on August 21 this year subject to the moon sighting.
