Ershad’s JP complains to EC over UP voting

Parliamentary opposition Jatiya Party today filed a complaint with the Election Commission dissatisfied with the voting at union parishad election today.

Jatiya Party  Senior Joint Secretary Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan led a delegation at the Election Commission Secretariat around noon.

They met with Election Commissioner Shah Nawaz and complained of vote grabbing and irregularities in Comilla, our correspondent reports from the spot.

Jatiya Party is the parliamentary opposition in the prevailing Government of Bangladesh. However, its chairman, Hussein Muhammad Ershad is currently employed as a special envoy to Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina.
