Investigators of the International Crimes Tribunal claimed that they have found evidence against two war crimes accused of Kishoreganj in six incidents during the country’s Liberation War in 1971.

Syed Muhammad Hussain, 64, and Muhammad Moslem Pradhan, 66, were involved in killing at least 62 people in Nikli upazila of Kishoreganj between August and November in 1971, Md Abdul Hannan Khan, coordinator of the investigation agency, told reporters.

Sanaul Huq, a senior member of the investigation agency, said that Hussain fled to Malaysia before the probe began against them on November 13 last year.

Moslem was arrested on July 8 this year after the International Crimes Tribunal-2 issued arrest warrant against them. He is now in jail, Hannan said.

Hory Devnath, investigation officer of the war crimes case, said he will submit the probe report and other documents to the prosecution today for further proceedings.
