Mild heat wave sweeps over country

A mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, Satkhira, Jessore and Kushtia and it may spread all over the country, said a press release of Met office this morning.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. . . Besides, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet division," a spokesman of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) told BSS.

Day temperature may rise and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

"There is no signal for the maritime ports," he added.

Meanwhile, another bulletin of Met office said, "In association with rain or thundershowers temporary west or north-westerly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60kph is likely to occur over the regions of Tangail, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Dhaka, Faridpur and Comilla wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal number one."

Tomorrow's sunset in Dhaka would be at 6:26pm and tomorrow's sunrise at 5:27am, the release added.
