A Natore court today placed a woman on a three-day remand in connection with the killing of Christian grocer Sunil Gomez in Baraigram upazila of the district on June 5.

Suspect Monwara Begum is a tenant of Sunil Gomez, reports our Natore correspondent.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Shamsul Al Amin passed the order following a remand prayer filed by the investigation officer of the case.

Yesterday, the IO produced Monwara before the court with a five-day remand prayer.

Unidentified criminals hacked Sunil Gomez, 60, with machetes inside his shop at Bonpara Christian Palli. He died on the spot.
