Nayan Mia (27), a cattle trader, was held by the Indian troops from near pillar no. 1,056 in Dantbhanga union, our Lalmonirhat correspondent reports.

A BSF patrol team caught Nayan while he, along with eight to 10 others, was entering India to smuggle in cattle, said Lt Col SM Azad, commanding officer (CO) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Jamalpur battalion-35.

The others managed to escape.
