Says the Bangladeshi all-rounder after escaping helicopter crash

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan confirmed his safety and wellbeing when he spoke to Rabeed Imam, media manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board earlier today.

Shakib escaped a horrific accident in Cox’s Bazar as the helicopter that took him there crashed while it was on its return journey. The ace all-rounder flew to Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort, near Inani sea-beach for a television commercial shoot, our correspondent reports quoting Omar Faruk, sub-inspector of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station and the investigation officer of the incident.

After Shakib landed at his destination at 9:30am, the chopper took off with five passengers including its pilot and crashed around 10:30am in Redu Khal area near Inani sea-beach. One person was killed and four others were injured in the accident.

“I am fine, but feel rather shocked at the news of the chopper crash.” Shakib explained when Rabeed Imam, media manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board spoke to him today. Shakib is scheduled to return to Dhaka tomorrow after completing the shoot for a commercial.
