BTS' Jimin reveals he needs to be ‘skinny to look good during photoshoot’

BTS member Jimin discussed how he diets before a photoshoot to appear amazing. Jimin also told Elle Korea that he 'has to be slim to look beautiful during the shooting'.

Jimin was asked about his 'unique winning pose' during the interview. 

"I like my left face on camera. And the outcome of photoshoots is heavily dependent on my nutrition," said the singer. 

When asked if he 'needed to be slim (to look good during the photoshoot),' Jimin said yes. "So for today as well, I've been on a diet so it's good," Jimin continued.

"I have thick lips. Many people refer to it as the beak," added the singer. 

When questioned about his plans following the photo shoot, Jimin stated that he was considering "ordering something nice.I was considering fried chicken...I just want a whole chicken to myself."

Jimin is now working on his first solo documentary, "Jimin's Production Diary." On October 23, "Jimin's Production Diary" will be released. BTS's official account recently uploaded a video of Jimin composing his letter on X (previously Twitter).

"Hello, ARMY," he wrote. "My name is Jimin. I had no idea that my first solo album, which had what I wanted to express and how I wanted to structure it, would be so well received by you. I didn't expect so much affection for my debut album, which featured things I'd always wanted to say and things to help me organise my ideas. That's why when I received the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Chart, it didn't really hit me."

In March of this year, he also released his debut solo album, "Face." Jimin has released solo material as a member of BTS, including "Lie" (2016), "Serendipity" (2017), and "Filter" and "Promise" (2020). In 2022, he sang "With You," a duet with Ha Sung-woon, for the TvN drama "Our Blues."
