Partha Majumder forms band ‘Freeway’ with talented musicians

Eminent musician Partha Majumder has formed his own band, "Freeway" with some talented musicians of the country. He shared this news through a Facebook post, which featured his band line-up.

"Freeway is new line-up, which was formed in search of soul music. We need your support -- wish us good luck and may God bless us," he wrote in his Facebook post.

His band lineup includes Atika Yamin, CJ Racy and Shamrat as vocals, GS Tuhin as lead guitarist, Babu as drummer, Sharton on bass guitar, Zia as keyboards and Partha as lead guitarist.

"We want to combine the essence of classic and modern songs in our band. We will cover some old as well as the modern songs, because that is what our new generation wants to listen to. We want to revive older songs, and will release originals as well," said Partha Majumder on his vision about his band.

"We are already working on our first song. We will hopefully release the song next year," he added.

Partha Majumder has been in this music industry for many years, and is the son of esteemed musicians Pandit Barin Majumdar and Ila Majumdar. Popular singer-musician Bappa Mazumder is his younger brother. His other brother -- Partha Pratim Majumder, is an internationally famous mime artist based in Paris, France.
