‘Aly Zaker Notuner Utshob 2023’ coming next week

Celebrating the essence of Bangladeshi theatre itself, eminent thespian and television persona Aly Zaker and his theatre troupe Nagorik Natya Sampradaya organised the first "Notuner Utshob", with seven theatre plays back in 2019.

Now, paying respect to the late artiste, this year's festival has been titled "Aly Zaker Notuner Utshob 2023".

"Aly Zaker Notuner Utshob 2023" will be organised by Nagorik Natya Sampradaya and Mangaldeep Foundation, all set to stage brand new theatre plays at the festival.

According to a press conference held last Tuesday, the festival will be held on the upcoming 21st to 26th January at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, from 6:30 pm onwards.

This time, the six-day long theatre festival features five new theatre plays including "Remand", "The Respectful Prostitute", "Shokhi Rongomala", "Adom Surat", and "Achalayatan".

After the inauguration ceremony, the audience will be able to enjoy plays from the second day onwards.

The festival will be inaugurated by the noted thespian and actor, Ferdousi Majumdar. State Minister of Cultural Affairs, K M Khalid, MP, will attend the inaugural ceremony of the festival as the chief guest.

Moreover, as special guest of the festival, the Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Liaquat Ali Lucky, will also be present.
