TIB’s anti-corruption cartoon exhibition concludes today

Marking the International Anti-Corruption Day (December 9), Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) organised their 16th Anti-Corruption Cartoon Exhibition and Competition, as a part of their anti-corruption social movement. The event concludes today.

The winners of the competition were awarded during the inaugural ceremony. The exhibition displayed 53 cartoons of the six winners and 33 artworks that received honourable mentions.

A total of 168 cartoons by 118 cartoonists were submitted under two age groups. Group A consisted of cartoonists between the ages of 13 and 18 and Group B consisted of artists between the ages of 19 and 25.

Ahsan Habib, renowned cartoonist and Editor of UNMAD, Sharier Khan, noted cartoonist and Executive Editor, The Business Standard, and Shishir Bhattacharjee, Professor, Drawing and Painting Department, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka were the judges for the competition.

In Group A, Md Ismail Mahmud won the first prize, Mugdho Roy Nibir won the second prize and Md Saklain Mostak Safi won the third prize.

In Group B, Tanvir Malek won the first prize, Rajan Nandi won the second prize and Rehnuma Proshoon received the third prize.

In each group, the first prize winner received Tk 75,000, the second prize winner received Tk 50,000 and the third prize winner received Tk 40,000 along with crests and certificates.
