9th DIMFF to begin from February 4

The "Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival 2023" (DIMFF) is all set to greet the audience at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh's (ULAB) permanent campus and Star Cineplex, Shimanto Shambhar, respectively on February 4 and 5. This will be the ninth presentation of the two-day-long event.

On February 4, the opening day will feature the managing partner and country head of Grey Advertising Bangladesh Ltd,Gausul Alam Shaon as chief guest. 

The event will be exhibiting films in five categories this year, including "Open Doors Film", "Short Film", "One Minute Film", "DIMFF Best Vertical Film", and "MSJ Best Mojo". Initially, 25 countries had submitted 163 films for the festival, out of which only 26 films were selected for screening. 

The jury board for this year's DIMFF consists of two groups. "Short Film", "One Minute Film" and "MSJ Best Mojo'' category films will be reviewed by noted filmmaker Senjuti Subarna Tushi, National Award-Winning filmmaker Rezwan Shahriar Sumit, and Pakistani filmmaker Ayaz Khan. 

Meanwhile, renowned film director Shimul Chandra Biswas, French-Turkish director Berat Gokkus and filmmaker Tasmiyah Afrin Mou will be judging the "Open Door Film" and "Vertical Film" categories.

The second and last day of the event will take place in Star Cineplex, Shimanto Shambhar,where Iresh Zaker will be joining the festivities as chief guest.
