Syed Ahmed Shawki's winning streak continues in the second iteration of Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2022. 

Last year, the talented director presented us with one of the most talked-about web-series of all time, "Karagar',' which left a strong impression on Bengalis in both Bangladesh and Kolkata.

On Saturday, Syed Ahmed Shawki clinched the prestigious Best Director in Series award in the popular category for his gripping thriller web series, "Karagar".

"It seems like most of the people I want to thank already have awards in hand. It was an overwhelming night, and I would like to express my gratitude to Blenders Choice, Daily Star, and Hoichoi. I'd also like to share this award with all the members of 'Karagar', Film Syndicate, and Film Noir," said the director.

The director also explained why Blender's Choice - The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2022 holds a special place.

"This award is special because it celebrates not only the people in front of the camera but also those behind the camera. A round of applause to everyone who is working tirelessly to help us create wonderful content," added the director.

It was a night of triumph for "Karagar" as it secured nine awards at the Blender's Choice - The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2022, including Best web series (popular category), Best director (popular category), Best Actor (critics), Best Actress (critics), Best Background Score, Best Script Writer, Best Makeup Artiste, Best Supporting Actor (popular category), and Best Cinematographer.
