Hansal Mehta's film "Faraaz"—which is based on the Holey Artisan terrorist attack of 2016—has been cleared for release by the Delhi High Court. The court has refused to block the release of the film, as requested by some of the victim's family members. Now, "Faraaz" is all set to release in theatres tomorrow.

The court adjourned an appeal made by two of the victim's mothers. Despite the release, the Delhi High court has instructed the director to "scrupulously adhere" to the disclaimers made in the film. The disclaimer states that the film is inspired by the attack and the elements contained within are a work of fiction.

According to the Delhi High Court, the disclaimers address the concerns raised by the victim's families. Therefore, they can no longer stop the film from being released.

"Faraaz", which has created quite a bit of dialogue amongst fans and critics when it was announced, has been produced by Anubhav Sinha and T-Series head, Bhushan Kumar. It stars Aamir Ali, Juhi Babbar, Zahan Kapoor (grandson of cinema legend Shashi Kapoor), and Aditya Rawal (son of Paresh and Swaroop Rawal), amongst others.
