Excited to watch “Poran” with husband: Mim

Starting her career in films with the Humayun Ahmed directorial production "Amar Ache Jol", Bidya Sinha Mim managed to land back to back hits on the silver screen, including "Shapludu" and "Jonakir Alo". The National Award winner is all set to return to the silver screen with Raihan Rafi's much awaited film "Poran" this Eid. She has also been busy shooting for Dipankar Dipon's "Antarjal".

We caught up with Mim to know more about her expectations from "Poran", her other upcoming projects, and more.

It has been a while since your film was released in the theatres.

I am having an amazing time with my husband and our families. "Poran" will be released this Eid ,and I am very excited for this production.

"Cholo Niralai", a song from the film, was recently released and the audience loved it. I am eagerly waiting for this film to release so that I can watch it with my fans in the theatre.

Tell us about "Poran".

The film put forward a different narrative, and my character in the production is also very different from my previous works. I play a very adorable and sweet young girl residing in the suburbs.

"Poran" is based on such a story that we often come across from the people around us or even some incidents that we experience in our life.

I forgot myself while playing this character.

Are you planning on watching "Poran" in the theatre with your better half?

My husband has always been very supportive of my career. He appreciates my effort and also enjoys my performances.

I did not get the chance to visit the theatres with my husband since we got married. I will definitely be going to the theatre to watch "Poran" this time with him as we both have been waiting for this production to release for a long time.

Since your debut in "Amar Ache Jol", are you happy with your achievements?

Being a cinema lover, I have always wanted to become an actress.

Though I don't get to give back-to-back releases, I try to live upto my audiences' expectations with the few productions I take up every year. Bring an artiste, I always try to take up characters and stories that have potential.
