I am ready to run for this year’s election: Ferdous

Recently, renowned actor Ferdous collected nomination papers for the Dhaka-17 seat. He confirmed the news to The Daily Star.

"I am 100 percent ready to run for this year's election. If my party, Awami League, gives me a nomination, then I will definitely try to do something for the country," stated the actor.

"I have always wanted to help society by serving the people of my country. Now if I get the nomination, then I will try to help society. Farooque bhai was like a guardian to me and he has contributed a lot towards society. I want to fulfil his unfinished dreams," added the actor.

The actor currently awaits the release of his films "1971 Shei Shob Din", "Dampara", "Sujon Majhi", "Jam", and "Gangchill".
