People in India are slamming Jimmy Kimmel for referring to SS Rajamouli's RRR as a Bollywood film.

Kimmel mentioned "RRR" and reportedly made fun of the Oscar-winning song "Naatu Naatu" during his monologue while hosting the Oscars 2023.

While fans were thrilled to hear an Indian film being discussed at the prestigious Academy Awards, they were outraged when the popular comedian referred to "RRR" as a 'Bollywood movie.'

Furthermore, following Jimmy's announcement, he was seen being driven away by a group of dancers who performed the hit Indian song "Naatu Naatu" on stage.

"This year, instead of playing you offstage, we have a group of performers from the film RRR who will dance you offstage," he was overheard saying.

Later, the comedian infuriated fans by referring to the SS Rajamouli-directed film as a "Bollywood film," rather than an Indian film.

Many people took to Twitter to criticize comedian Jimmy Kimmel.

"RRR isn't a Bollywood movie oh god I hate Jimmy Kimmel for a reason," one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another user said," Did Jimmy Kimmel just call Naatu Naatu a Bollywood song ?! … Let's get it right tonight - TOLLYWOOD."
