Mrs World crown returns to India after 21 years

21 years ago, Indian actress Aditi Govitrikar took home 'Mrs World 2001' crown. Now, after a two-decade-long wait, Sargam Kaushal—a model and a teacher by profession—brought back the crown of 'Mrs World 2022' back to Indian, once more.

The finals of the beauty pageant contest took place at Las Vegas yesterday, December 18.

Sargam Kaushal also won the crown of 'Mrs India 2022' and participated in the 'Mrs World 2022' competition as India's representative.

Celebrating the event, both the Sargam and the organisers of the 'Mrs India' pageant shared the news on Instagram writing, "The long wait is over, we have the crown back after 21 years!"

Mrs World is the first beauty-pageant featuring married women. The competition has taken place in over 80 countries, around the world, since 1984.
