Nuhash Humayun honoured with Breakthrough Creators award from Vimeo 

Bangladeshi filmmaker Nuhash Humayun won the award of "Breakthrough Creators" at Vimeo's "Best of Staff Picks 2022". 

Vimeo, the world's most innovative video experience platform, announced its 2022 Best of Staff Picks,on Tuesday in three categories: Best Branded Videos, Breakthrough Creators, and Best Videos. This year's winners were selected from 600+ projects in 2020. 

Nuhash Humayun's international award-winning horror short film, "Moshari" was released on the Vimeo platform on October 15. 

Announcing the news, Nuhash Humayun posted a picture of himself on his Facebook account and wrote, "Honoured to be named Vimeo's breakout creator of the year!"

"Moshari" stars  "No Dorai" actress Sunerah Binte Kamal and Nuhash's niece Nairah Onora Saif, as two sisters trying to survive an apocalypse.

Apart from that, on January 14 Nuhash also announced his win in the category of " Best Live Action Short" in The Gold List, which aims to honour the most outstanding Asian achievements in the film industry annually.

Speaking on the dual achievements, Nuhash exclaimed " It is pretty cool to be able to share the win with notable films like 'RRR' and 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'."

He also added, "To be named Vimeo's 'Breakout Creator' of 2022 and also have MOSHARI win the Gold List USA was a great way to start the new year. I'm writing a new script for a horror film and at the same time, delving into a romantic comedy which I've already began casting for. So this is just the positive energy I needed that I'm channeling into whole new projects."

In the film, when the world is overrun with bloodthirsty creatures, the last of mankind perseveres in Dhaka, by spending their nights inside the moshari (mosquito net) — the only known shelter from the unknown threat.

The film has won accolades and received positive reviews from various international award programs.
