One of the biggest festivals of Bangladeshi Americans, Ananda Mela came to a close on last June 18. Just like every year, the annual festival took place at Los Angeles, US, graced by a plethora of Bangladeshi celebrities including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Sazu Khadem, Anika Kabir Shakh, Ziaul Hoque Polash, Faria Shahrin, Mamnun Hasan Emon, Robena Reza Jui, Samira Khan Mahi, and Keya Payel.

Sharing his thoughts on the event, noted actor Omar Sani posted on his social media accounts, writing, "Back then, whenever we heard about a show in 'America', more or less all of us would all be eager to go. But nowadays, the type of 'crow-like' artistes they are inviting there has left me surprised—how their taste has deteriorated."

Replying to his comment, one netizen wrote, "Its fine as long as they don't take you."

To this, Omar Sani countered, "I have gone there many times before, please know before you speak."

Omar Sani rose to fame by acting in numerous hit films like "Harano Prem", "Dola", "Prothom Prem" and "Sneher Badhon", among others.
