‘RRR’ beats ‘The Fabelmans’ on US grounds

Since achieving the Golden Globes for 'Best Original Song' home, SS Rajamouli's "RRR" has been on a straight path of awards and achievements consecutively. Just a couple of days back, the film even claimed two more awards from the 28th Critics Choice Awards ceremony.

The director SS Rajamouli and the composer of the Golden Globes award winning song "Naatu Naatu" MM Keeravaani met the famed director Steven Spielberg last Saturday. SS Rajamouli even took to his social media accounts writing, "I just met GOD!!!"

Now, "RRR" made the headlines again after beating Steven Spielberg's "The Fabelmans" at the US Box office collection. According to the Box Office Mojo, "RRR" earned 14.77 million dollars at the US box office while "The Fabelmans" collected 14.3 million dollars.

"RRR" left "The Fabelmans" 40 million, at the box office, adding another achievement under its belt.

"RRR" is a fictitious story set in the 1920's, that is based on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries. During its theatrical run in India, the film grossed over Rs 1,000 crore.
