Samira Khan Mahi and Sharif Siraj to make silver screen debut

Acclaimed director Syed Salahuddin Zaki, well known for his 1980 film "Ghuddi", is working on a new film which will feature Afzal Hossain playing a negative role.

The movie titled "Krantikaal" will also see the silver screen debut of two fresh faces, Samira Khan Mahi and Sharif Siraj, the former gained recognition for her work on small screen projects and the latter for his OTT projects such as "YouTumor" and "Refugee".

The film was announced in 2020, and the director had disclosed that the story will take place after the events "Ghuddi".

Noted actor Afzal Hossain will be seen in a negative role in 'Krantikaal'.

The songs for the film have been voiced by noted singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya and Nandita Yasmin. The film will also contain the timeless track "Abar Elo Je Shondha" from the film "Ghuddi".

Syed Salahuddin Zaki himself has penned two songs for the film. The first being the theme song, "Ami Kar Kachhe Rekhe Jabo Amar Thikana/Padma Meghna Jamuna". This track is voiced by Somnur Monir Konal and Rehaan Rasul. While the other track, a political satire, is titled "Bel Pakile Kauar Asha Ki", which is also sung by Konal and Linu Billah.
